- JPG is already selected. Open “Options” if you want to adjust the result.

What to expect
- JPG uses lossy compression: pick a quality between 10 and 100% (90% by default) to balance file size and detail.
- JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background colour: white by default, or any colour you choose.
- You can also resize: enter a width and/or height and the aspect ratio is kept.
- Camera details and location (EXIF) are not carried over; photos are turned upright first.

About PNG and JPG
- PNG
- PNG is a lossless image format with full transparency. It is ideal for screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges, while photos saved as PNG get large.
- JPG
- JPG (also called JPEG) is the most common photo format. It keeps photos small by discarding detail the eye barely notices, and it cannot store transparency.
Frequently asked questions
Is the PNG to JPG converter free?
Yes. You can convert 3 files every 24 hours for free, without an account. Pro removes the daily limit.
Are my PNG files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in your browser with standard web technology, and the file never leaves your device.
Will the JPG file lose quality?
JPG uses lossy compression. At the default quality of 90% the difference is hard to see; set it to 100% for maximum detail.
Does JPG keep transparency?
No. JPG cannot store transparency, so those areas are filled with a background colour you can choose.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like and they are converted one after another. Pro runs up to 3 at the same time and can download all results as one ZIP.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in any up-to-date browser. Phones have less memory, so very large files may need a computer.
